Malaria is a life-threatening illness, caused by a female anopheles mosquito with a parasite that carries a disease called malaria.

Once the mosquito bites the host (human or animal), the parasite enters the human’s body and starts destroying the blood cells until the person dies, or is cured.
Common symptoms of Malaria are chills, sweating, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea.

Luckily there is a cure for this monstrous disease!

On 20th August 1897 in Secunderabad, British India, a British medical doctor called Ronald Ross discovered that a malaria parasite was carried by an anopheles mosquito.
